At Red Dot Training, we believe that proper training is the foundation of responsible firearm ownership. Our courses are designed to ensure you understand the legal, ethical, and technical aspects of carrying a firearm. For those seeking additional training, we offer specialized courses that cater to both beginner and advanced shooters.

*All of the courses listed below have a $50 non-refundable deposit. In the event that a course is cancelled by the instructor, students will have the option for a refund or for a credit towards a future course.

Basic Safety Course

Prerequisite course for MA License to Carry (LTC) with live fire on a private range.

Length: 4 hours

Women’s only course

This course is designed specifically for women, offering a supportive and empowering environment for learning how to safely use a firearm. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to improve your proficiency, this course provides essential knowledge with live fire.

CFG members/First Responders: $125

1:1/Small group

Private 1:1 instruction or small group instruction for up to 4 people. Curriculum will be tailored based on clients needs. (Handgun or rifle)

This course covers essential skills like firearm safety, grip, stance, trigger control, and sight alignment. You’ll also learn tactical and emergency reloads, and how to choose the right holster and belt for comfort and accessibility.

This course focuses on the foundational skills needed to safely and effectively carry and use a concealed firearm in public.

Length: 4-5 hours

Conceal carry 2

This course expands on foundational skills to refine your ability use a concealed firearm effectively and covers advanced techniques

Length: 4-5 hours

    • Review grip, stance, trigger control, use of sights, sight picture

    • Review malfunctions and reloads

    • Mastering the draw from holster

    • Target transitions with varying size/distance

    • Dominant-hand shooting

    Mandatory Requirements:

    • Valid MA LTC + Completion of Conceal Carry 1 or equivalent

    • Semiautomatic handgun with at least 3 magazines

    • Rigid belt, holster, and magazine carrier

    • Eye + ear protection

    • Appropriate range clothing

    Approximately 400 rounds

Conceal carry 3

This course focuses on advanced handgun techniques.

Length: 5 hours

    • 5-minute recap: safety, grip, stance, trigger control, use of sights, sight picture

    • Induced malfunctions

    • Target transitions with varying size distance and partial target

    • Shooting from behind cover and concealment

Carbine basics

This is an introduction to understanding the basics of a carbine and learning how to properly manipulate it.

Length: 5-6 hours

basic life support (aha)

American Heart Association recognized course. This course teaches critical life-saving skills for responding to cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and choking emergencies in adults, children, and infants.

Length: 3 hours

Price: Non-members: $95

    • First Aid Overview

    • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

    • Proper AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use

    • The importance of early defibrillation

    • Bag-mask ventilation techniques

    • Team dynamics in resuscitation scenarios

    • Relief of choking (Heimlich maneuver)

    *This course is recognized and accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA). Certificate of completion will be provided.

Trauma management (m.a.r.c.h)

This course is designed to teach individuals how to effectively manage traumatic injuries using the M.A.R.C.H. protocol— a systematic approach used in military and tactical medicine for prioritizing lifesaving interventions. This course is designed for average citizens to utilize in various situations that may arise.

    • Massive Hemorrhage: Tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure dressings

    • Airway: Airway management techniques, including NPA insertion and recovery positions

    • Respiration: Chest seals and proper casualty positioning

    • Circulation: Shock management and blood clotting agents

    • Hypothermia/Head Injury: Preventing heat loss, recognizing TBI symptoms, and long-term casualty care considerations
